- You may choose zero, one, or two players for this effect.
- One of those players may be you.
- You do not choose what card you are affecting until after "While in play" effects happen, meaning if there is a card with a variable value, as long as that card's value is [5] or greater once the "While in play" effects have happened, Courage will be able to affect it. For example, your opponent has Obsession in play ([6] if there are two white and/or black cards in play) and Courage is the second white card in play. Courage being played will change Obsession to [6] when the "While in play" effects happen, and Courage can choose Obsession to be put into the discard pile.
