- "May" means this effect is optional. You do not need to play an additional card and will still get the "While in play" effect.
- You can play that additional card for the rest of your turn. If multiple cards grant you additional cards, those can be played in any order. For example, let's say you have Hurt Feelings and play Idealism. You may first play the additional card for Hurt Feelings before you play the additional card for Idealism.
- You do not have the ability to choose which total to count. It is always the highest value. For example, you are close to being last this round and wish to have the lowest score to get Hurt Feelings. Idealism does not allow you to count the lower value on the card.
- If Idealism leaves play, the card it is affecting will revert to the value it would naturally have based on the state of the game. If a choice had previously been made for the card (from when you played it) that previous choice returns.
- You cannot choose which cards Idealism affects. All your cards with two dice totals will have the higher value.
